NUPR 631 FNP II: Evidence-Based Clinical Management for Primary Care Across the Lifespan II 5.0 Credits

This course expands the student’s exposure to the nurse practitioner role in primary care management of individuals across the lifespan. This course builds on the diagnosis/management of acute/episodic and chronic conditions common in primary care. Students will continue to apply the concepts of cognitive theories and Healthy People determinants promoting quality of life, healthy development, and health behaviors. Professional issues affecting the novice practitioner will be addressed. This course fosters the development of family nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
