NUPR 670 PNP I: Evidence-Based Clinical Management for Infants, Children, and Adolescents in Primary Care I 5.0 Credits

This course provides the pediatric nurse practitioner student with an introduction to the conceptual and scientific basis for meeting the health needs of diverse pediatric populations in the primary care setting. Course content and clinical experiences prepare the student to assume the role of primary care provider for children from birth through adolescence. This course fosters the development of pediatric nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
