NUPR 672 PNP III: Evidence-Based Clinical Management for Adolescents in Primary Care 5.0 Credits

This course focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and management of common health issues of adolescence. Reproductive health management and anticipatory guidance unique to the adolescent population will be discussed. Course content and clinical experiences prepare the student to assume the role of primary care provider to adolescents. This course fosters the development of pediatric nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
