NUPR 682 ACPNP III: Evidence-Based Management of the Medically Fragile and Technology Dependent Child 5.0 Credits

This course will provide students with higher appreciation of the role of the Acute-Chronic Pediatric Nurse Practitioner managing children with chronic health disorders and specialized needs transitioning into different sites of care. Students will focus on the strategies within the community, home-based interventions, coordination of services, and collaboration of care. This course fosters the development of pediatric nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
