NUPR 700 Global Health: Disparities, Social Justice, and Evidence-Based interventions 3.0 Credits

This course encourages students to consider health and nursing as global enterprises with the capacity to improve planetary health by responding to practice needs and professional obligations that require immersion and cultural humility. Students will learn evidence-based strategies to affect social determinants of health. They will examine key international reports, agendas, sustainable development goals and the works of international agencies. The course explores interprofessional collaboration as a strategy to improve global health.
