NUPR 800 DNP Project Seminar I: Planning and Designing 4.0 Credits

This purpose of this course is to formalize the assessment, planning, and design phases of the DNP Project, including proposed quality improvement methodology and analysis. Students will plan and design a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Project that focuses on a system (micro, meso or macro) or population/aggregate change that impacts healthcare/health outcomes via direct or indirect care interventions. Students will examine evidence via a well-constructed search that is connected to a PICO/T question related to the practice/clinical problem of interest. Each student will propose an evaluation of processes and/or outcomes that include an analysis of the proposed project’s clinical significance and incorporates a plan for sustaining the designed change.
