About the Program
The Certificate in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control is intended to prepare students to work in health care settings, public health agencies, the pharmaceutical sector, and other organizations engaged in work related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases. It is designed for working professionals. The Certificate integrates relevant courses in epidemiology, infectious diseases, and patient safety.
Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Certificate in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Working knowledge of and access to a PC, high speed connection to Internet, and MS Office applications
- Ability to download free versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, Skype, and/or VSee teleconferencing applications
- Demonstrated interest or work experience in Public Health
