NURS 992 Dissertation in Nursing Science 1.0-9.0 Credit

Through this course the student will conduct original research with the goal of producing a contribution to the knowledge of the discipline. The quality of the original research must conform to that needed for submission of a manuscript to a peer-reviewed scientific journal (traditional dissertation) or granting agency in the student’s area of research. This course builds from the successfully defended dissertation proposal including, conducting a pilot study, securing IRB approval, study implementation, data analysis, interpretation of results, writing the dissertation report, defense, and dissemination of results through publications and presentations.
