About the Program
The certificate in advanced tissue engineering provides specialized training in creating, analyzing, and applying materials for tissue regeneration, medical devices and advanced therapies.
The certificate covers biomaterial properties, cell-material interactions, and engineering scaffolds designed to repair or replace damaged human tissues. Optional courses include immune engineering and advanced therapeutics manufacturing.
The certificate prepares for careers in regenerative medicine, biotechnology, and biomedical device industries, with skills in designing materials and controlling cellular behavior. Students may continue in Drexel's MS program in Advanced Therapeutics.
Admissions Requirements
Students must have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with a preferred GPA of at least 3.0.
