About the Program
The Master of Health Administration program is designed to develop leaders who can think critically, act ethically, and advance health system performance across diverse communities. Through a curriculum grounded in evidence, analytics, and real-world application, students cultivate the knowledge, skills, and values required to navigate the complex landscape of modern healthcare.
A core competency of the program is analyzing the contextual forces that shape health and healthcare delivery. Students explore how social determinants, political dynamics, economic pressures, and organizational structures influence administrative decisions. Gaining a deep understanding of health policy and the policymaking process enables them to assess policy impacts, ensure regulatory compliance, and engage in advocacy. Applying legal and ethical frameworks, students address issues of quality, safety, access, and equity. Graduates are prepared to lead with integrity, analytical rigor, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities and organizations they serve.
The MHA program prepares students to lead with confidence in a health system defined by rapid change, increasing complexity, and rising expectations for value and equity. Grounded in a curriculum that blends policy, analytics, strategy, and organizational leadership, the program equips emerging and experienced professionals to navigate the forces shaping today’s healthcare environment. Experiential learning, workshops and consultancy and applied analytics in finance and health policy and ethical leadership. Compared to other MHA programs, the guided consultancy project integrates leadership skills and the foundational knowledge about the healthcare sector to create impactful outcomes for a particular healthcare organization.
Hospital management roles include Practice Manager, Assistant Administrator, or Director of Operations. Specialized Areas include positions in health informatics, quality and safety improvement, HR/nursing recruitment, health care human resources management; and marketing management. Consulting & Insurance: Roles in healthcare consulting firms and insurance companies focusing on operations or risk management. Long-Term Care; Benefits administration: Administration in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
