About the Program

Students in the MS in Marketing Leadership develop the strategic, analytical, interpersonal, and ethical capabilities required to lead marketing organizations in dynamic, disruption‑prone environments. Graduates learn to make informed marketing decisions grounded in market analysis, consumer behavior insights, and industry trends, while delivering value to customers, organizations, and society. The program builds leadership competencies for managing teams, fostering innovation, and driving organizational change, with sustained attention to ethical decision‑making, sustainability, and social responsibility. Students strengthen advanced communication skills—including persuasion, negotiation, and strategic storytelling—so they can influence decisions and protect brand reputation across diverse stakeholder groups.

Learning is applied, collaborative, and reflective, mirroring modern marketing roles that combine strategy with data‑informed execution. Coursework emphasizes team‑based projects, case analyses, simulations, and experiential assignments that require students to navigate ambiguity, lead diverse teams, and make decisions in complex business contexts. Students work with marketing and consumer data to generate actionable insights using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, experimental design, and marketing analytics techniques. Throughout the curriculum, students practice responsible data use, inclusive measurement, and thoughtful targeting, and learn to communicate insights through clear data visualization and compelling recommendations to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Graduates are prepared for marketing careers that blend leadership, analytics, and technology across industries, including roles such as marketing manager, brand manager, account executive, digital marketing strategist, marketing analytics manager, marketing research analyst, manager of strategy and insights, media planner, paid search manager, and client or relationship management roles. The curriculum also provides a strong foundation for continued professional development, leadership advancement, or further graduate study in business, marketing, analytics, or organizational leadership. For international students, the program offers eligibility for extended Optional Practical Training (OPT) consistent with applicable federal guidelines.

Grounded in Drexel University’s nationally recognized experiential learning model, the program emphasizes applied learning, professional readiness, and ethical impact. Compared to similar programs, Drexel LeBow integrates leadership development, brand strategy, customer experience design, analytics, and technology within a cohesive marketing curriculum. Students benefit from close industry connections, real‑world learning opportunities, and signature experiences focused on leadership presence, team performance, and communicating strategy across flatter, matrix‑style, and virtual organizational structures. Students graduate equipped to create meaningful value for organizations while contributing thoughtfully to broader societal outcomes.
