About the Program

The LLM degree is designed for experienced domestic and international attorneys who are looking for advanced skills in legal regulatory analysis and policy pertinent to cybersecurity and data/information privacy. As the internet and cyberspace play increasingly important roles in our daily personal and business activities, and as the field becomes more heavily regulated, legal employers, including law firms, government agencies and law departments, seek lawyers with a deeper understanding of the manner in which new and developing cyber-related regulations affect their clients and business interests. LLM students must hold a JD or its international equivalent (LLB). This degree is not designed to prepare students for any Bar Exam.

Admission Requirements

Domestic students must have earned a JD from an ABA accredited law school. International students must have an earned Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or its equivalent. Admissions will be based on applicant grades from their prior institutions. No entry exam is required, except that students who have completed their first law degree program in a language other than English will be required to have a minimum score on the TOEFL or a comparable exam.

• Official transcripts from all universities or colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions (including trade schools) attended
• Essay of approximately 500 words - Can be a personal statement outlining personal and/or professional goals you hope to achieve through the program, or on another topic that showcases your writing skills
• Resume- Quality and quantity of professional experience will be evaluated
• Standardized test score reports (GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT) can be submitted, but are not required.
