About the Program

The Epidemiology Methods Certificate is designed to provide graduate-level students with a strong methodological foundation in epidemiology and biostatistics. The program is intended for public health MPH students outside the Epidemiology major who wish to deepen their analytic skills.

Through a structured sequence of intermediate courses in epidemiology, statistical computing, and biostatistics, students gain the competencies needed to interpret and evaluate epidemiologic research. Graduates of the program will be able to integrate epidemiologic concepts with computational and statistical tools, strengthening their readiness for advanced coursework, research roles, and data-driven public health practice.

Admission Requirements

This certificate is only open to current Drexel students. Graduate certificates are designed to provide specific depth within a student’s area of training or complement their training in a related discipline. All matriculated master's students in semester programs, except for students pursuing the MPH in Epidemiology, are eligible to enroll.

Students must receive approval from their home program and the Dornsife School of Public Health and complete the necessary paperwork with the DSPH Academic Advising Team.
