About the Program

Students in the Maternal and Child Health Certificate learn about the development of the field of MCH and gain skills to design, implement and evaluate public health interventions in MCH in collaboration with community stakeholders. Students are also exposed to the impact of maternal and child policies on the health and well-being of those communities.

The certificate is offered entirely online to provide qualified students and working professionals with an opportunity to participate in this program regardless of restrictions in time and physical location. Those who successfully complete the certificate program and wish to broaden their scope of public health education could pursue an MPH or MS degree and apply some or all credits to that program.
