Minor in Business Consulting
About the Minor
The Business Consulting minor prepares students to identify organizational challenges and develop strategic recommendations for industry partners using research and analysis. Through project-based coursework in collaboration with external organizations, students learn how to examine business problems, interpret findings, and present recommendations to decision-makers. The minor provides experience working across different organizational settings, including for-profit companies, nonprofits, startups, and international partners. Students gain practical skills in business problem solving, critical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic communication.
Admissions Requirements
Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
