Minor in Business Law
About the Minor
The Business Law minor allows students to pursue coursework that explores the legal and regulatory frameworks in which businesses function and exposes students to various legal issues that may arise throughout their careers. The minor emphasizes ethical awareness and informed decision-making in complex regulatory contexts. Through case-based learning and analysis of contemporary legal issues, students apply legal frameworks to real-world business scenarios, preparing students to recognize and manage legal risks in organizational settings.
Admissions Requirements
Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
