Minor in Finance
About the Minor
The Finance minor provides students with knowledge of financial management, investment analysis, and capital markets. Students learn to evaluate financial performance, assess risk, value assets, and support capital allocation decisions. The program strengthens quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and financial decision-making skills. Through applied coursework using financial data and valuation models, students connect theory to practice. The minor enhances financial literacy and prepares students to contribute meaningfully to financial planning and analysis across industries.
Admissions Requirements
Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
