About the Minor

The Health Administration minor explores the structure, management, and policy dimensions of healthcare. Students gain a deep understanding of healthcare delivery models, regulatory environments, ethics, and organizational leadership within healthcare contexts. The program cultivates systems thinking, ethical reasoning, and managerial awareness in healthcare delivery. Through applied coursework, students address operational challenges and recognize strategic opportunities in healthcare organizations. Students evaluate mechanisms for improving quality, efficiency, and access. The minor prepares students to navigate the complexities of an evolving healthcare landscape with both analytical skills and practical insight and creates career flexibility for a fast-growing job sector.

Admissions Requirements

Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
