Minor in Marketing
About the Minor
The Marketing minor provides students with a comprehensive understanding of customer behavior, brand strategy, market analysis, and value creation. Students learn how organizations identify opportunities, position their offerings, and develop data-driven marketing strategies that deliver measurable results. The program emphasizes creativity, analytical thinking, and customer-focused problem-solving, preparing students to tackle complex business challenges. Through applied projects, campaign development exercises, and market research analysis, students put marketing theory into practice in real-world scenarios. This minor equips students to contribute to strategic growth, brand management, and competitive positioning across diverse industries while building skills that enhance career readiness in today’s dynamic business environment.
Admissions Requirements
Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
