Minor in Management Information Systems

About the Minor

The Management Information Systems minor examines how information systems and digital technologies support organizational strategy and operations. Students develop knowledge of systems in business in general, while going deeper into database management and systems analysis. The program builds digital fluency, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Through hands-on coursework and applied projects, students explore how business processes integrate with information systems. The minor prepares students to bridge business needs and technological solutions in increasingly technology-driven environments.

Admissions Requirements

Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
