Minor in Sport Business
About the Minor
The Sport Business minor examines the strategic, marketing, and operational dimensions of the sport industry. Students explore revenue models, fan engagement, sponsorship, and organizational management within professional and collegiate sport settings. The program strengthens strategic analysis, communication, and industry awareness. Through current event examples and sport-focused projects, students analyze real-world organizations and emerging trends. The minor prepares students to navigate the unique economic and competitive dynamics of the sport business landscape.
Admissions Requirements
Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
