Minor in Trial Skills

About the Minor

The minor in Trial Skills allows students to develop litigation-related skills while ensuring a solid foundation in U.S. law and legal systems. Courses in the minor prepare students to communicate effectively orally and in writing, assess and employ evidence critically and powerfully, and work collaboratively in teams. Whether competing on the Drexel Undergraduate Mock Trial team or looking toward law school, the Trial Skills minor provides an excellent—and highly unusual—level of preparation for students considering legal careers.

Admissions Requirements

Students are required to declare a major before declaring a minor. Students admitted directly into a specific major at the time of matriculation may declare a minor beginning in their second semester. All requirements for the minor must be completed either concurrently with or prior to the completion of the primary major requirements. This ensures that students fulfill the expectations of their primary field of study while completing any additional areas of academic specialization.
