Provides graduate students with exposure to new and current research trends in the information and computing disciplines. Includes guest lectures by notable scientists in computer science, data science, human-centered computing, digital content management, and information and library science. Features speakers from academia and industry, from both inside and outside the university.

CI 891 Introduction to CCI Internships 0.0-3.0 Credits

This course is designed for students studying while working to gain practical work experience in their field of study. External organizations provide internship opportunities. However, a faculty member in the College of Computing and Informatics (CCI) will supervise students in the academic component. Students will meet regularly with the instructor while working in their internship positions. During the quarter, students will be introduced to Drexel resources that will be helpful during their internships. Formats other than written reports may be used to demonstrate student understandings of the connections between their internships and their CCI studies. Those alternatives will be subject to approval by the instructor.

CI 892 CCI Internship 0.0-9.0 Credits

This course is designed for students studying while working to gain practical work experience in their field of study. External organizations provide the internship work. Students will meet regularly with the instructor while working in their internship positions. During the quarter, students will produce reflective reports of their work activity, the problems they investigated, significant results, and any follow-up projects. Formats other than written reports may be used to demonstrate student understandings of the connections between their internships and their CCI studies. Those alternatives will be subject to approval by the instructor.
