About the Program
The online Certificate in Disability and Health Equity Policy is designed to provide training and skill development for students and professionals to influence and lead in any position that supports individuals with disabilities, their families or caregivers, service providers and program administrators, and policymakers. This certificate will prepare students for leadership roles in supporting effective and equitable policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
The certificate is offered entirely online to provide qualified students and working professionals with an opportunity to acquire these credentials regardless of restrictions in time and physical location. Those who successfully complete the certificate program and wish to broaden their scope of public health education could pursue an MPH degree program.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Complete application form
- Working knowledge of and access to a personal computer (no more than four years old), high-speed connection to the Internet, and Microsoft Office applications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to download free versions of software required for the program
- Demonstrated interest or work experience in one or more fields of public health, disability services, disability policy, or health equity
