This course examines the theory and practice of managing organizations, managerial decision-making, and human resources management for arts and cultural executives. Concepts of organizational lifecycles are used to identify the critical elements of sustainable and resilient arts, cultural, and creative sector organizations. The role of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking are applied to creating relevant programs and enterprises. Through self-assessments, readings, papers and projects, students will gain knowledge and skills to prepare them for effective leadership roles in the arts.
