ACCT 1200 Introduction to Financial Accounting 3.0 Credits
This course provides students with an introduction to the principles and practices of financial reporting. The course focuses on the preparation and interpretation of the three primary financial statements: the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Students will learn how business transactions are recorded, classified, and summarized to communicate financial information to decision-makers. In addition, the course integrates spreadsheet tools skills for financial analysis and introduces applications of emerging analytic approaches to support efficiency and accuracy in accounting tasks. As a required course, it supports progression in the program.
