ACCT 3201 Financial Reporting I 3.0 Credits
This course provides in-depth study and application of financial accounting theory, concepts and principles. Emphasis is placed on the preparation, presentation, and analysis of the financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Topics include the accounting cycle, present value analysis, income determination, measurement of current assets, current liabilities, short-term investments, and property, plant, and equipment. Students will develop critical thinking and analytical skills through problem-solving and application of concepts to real-world scenarios.
