AFAS 2029 Africana Arts and Culture 3.0 Credits
This course will focus on expressive cultures - visual art, music, theater and performance art, literature, mass media, and other cultural production - within the Africana Diaspora. While examining the context and content of this cultural production, the course will also give significant attention to the implications of artists' formal choices and how they are situated within certain movements and genres.
