AFAS 2215 American Slavery 3.0 Credits
This course offers a multi-disciplinary, critical examination of slavery and its socio-cultural infrastructures, economic logics, and the historical events and phenomena that define it throughout the long 17th-19th centuries. This class may take on a more specified disciplinary focus depending on the faculty and term of its offering, at times examining the institution of slavery through history and historiography; literature; black queer and feminist thought; and/or critical theory.
