ARCH 3110 Civic Architecture Studio 4.0 Credits

This studio explores the development of a medium to large civic building that emphasizes public space, environmental responsibility, and cultural identity. The project emphasizes an integrated approach to design, where architecture, landscape, structural systems and infrastructure are conceived as a unified proposal. Students will investigate how building design responds to issues of context, climate change, circulation and accessibility to inform a resolved design solution. The goal is to create a vision for civic architecture that is both contextually grounded and forward-thinking, demonstrating how architecture can shape meaningful and resilient public spaces.
