ARCH 3401 [WI] Theories of Architecture and Urbanism 3.0 Credits

This course introduces students to a sampling of architectural and urban design theories from both historic and contemporary contexts, drawing on texts and traditions from around the globe. In providing foundations for critical thinking, the class explores various intersections between conceptions of the built environment and cultural studies, literature, and philosophy. It includes both lectures and discussion sessions, and may include written exams and essay assignments.
