ARCH 4989 Architecture Undergraduate Thesis II 4.0 Credits
This independent thesis project integrates student research and programming to complete design development. Students are encouraged to dare, to test, to inquire, and to propose intellectual investigations while applying their knowledge and skills from previous studios and classes, exhibiting technical and design competence, social and cultural awareness, and an ability to communicate their ideas in drawings, models, diagrams and other means. Deliverables include in-depth program research, code and context analysis, site selection and response, building systems, structural and environmental strategies, as well as the holistic development of a conceptual and theoretical design approach for a design project.
