ARCS 4998 Architectural Studies Capstone I 3.0 Credits
This course is the first in a two-part Capstone sequence in architectural studies. Students undertake foundational research, including a comprehensive literature review, in a chosen area of architecture, such as architectural history, architectural technology, community-based research, material research, prototyping, or speculative design. Students will synthesize existing scholarship and develop a focused research proposal to implement in the second part of the sequence. Emphasis is placed on critical inquiry, disciplinary relevance, conceptual development, and project planning.
