AUD 7003 Acoustics and Psychoacoustics 3.0 Credits
This course will cover principles in acoustics and psychoacoustics which are fundamental to the study of audiology. Speech acoustics and perception will be addressed. Application of acoustic principles in the provision of amplification will be introduced. Physical and psychological attributes related to sound in normal hearing and impaired ears will be discussed. Classical psychophysical methods are discussed, with an emphasis on their application to audiological testing.
