AUD 8006 Practice Management, Supervision and Team Based Care 3.0 Credits
This course examines the organizational, administrative, and leadership principles necessary for effective audiology practice within contemporary healthcare systems. Emphasis is placed on practice management, including clinic operations, billing and reimbursement, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and ethical decision-making. Students develop competencies in clinical supervision, including oversight of students, support personnel, and audiology assistants, with attention to scope of practice, delegation, and performance evaluation. The course also focuses on interprofessional, team-based care, preparing students to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
