AUD 8304 Seminar V: Case Reviews 1.0 Credit

A progressive seminar series designed to integrate didactic knowledge with clinical reasoning through structured discussion of authentic and simulated audiology cases. Across five sequential courses, students analyze diagnostic findings, develop differential diagnoses, formulate patient-centered management plans, and justify clinical decisions using current evidence and professional standards. Emphasis is placed on communication, ethical decision-making, interprofessional collaboration, documentation, and readiness for increasingly complex clinical practice. Cases span the lifespan and include hearing, balance, amplification, rehabilitation, pediatric, medical, and specialty audiology topics. Complexity and expectations advance each term in alignment with concurrent coursework and clinical practica.
