BIO 1114 General Biology Laboratory II 1.0 Credit
This lab course is designed to be a companion course to the BIO 1112 lecture. Students will survey anatomical systems in different classes of animals to compare the ways in which these animals obtain oxygen and nutrients from the environment, transport these materials, maintain homeostasis, and eliminate waste products. The course will emphasize relationships between living organisms and their environments through exploration of anatomical systems and major themes in ecology. In addition, computer simulations will also allow students to apply their understanding of evolutionary concepts to real data. The labs will provide opportunities for students to develop their technical and scientific skills in data interpretation and critical thinking.
