Advanced coursework in topics designed to help students transition from the academic to the industrial culture. Team-taught topics are focused on assessment of knowledge, skills, and abilities; targeting development of transferable skills; identification of short-term and long-term career goals; and job search and networking skills. Within these blocks, students are exposed to concepts developed in concert with local industry recruiters and hiring managers. The goal of the lectures is to prepare confident, independent, resilient early career scientists for a successful job search and eventual excellence in the culture of industrial biomedical and pharmaceutical research.
