BLAW 2201 Introduction to Business Law and Contractual Obligations 3.0 Credits

Contracts are a cornerstone of business. This course starts with an overview of the U.S. legal system and then provides an in-depth look at the law governing contracts. This course also addresses what happens when contracts cannot be performed or are breached, equipping students with strategies for responding to these situations. In addition to building legal knowledge, students will sharpen their critical thinking skills by analyzing issues that may make an agreement unenforceable. Ethical considerations in business decision-making also will be explored, helping students understand how law and ethics intersect in resolving disputes and shaping professional conduct.
