BLAW 3348 White Collar Crime 3.0 Credits
This course examines federal and state criminal codes as they apply to businesses and managers. Students will learn the elements of various white collar crimes and how they are investigated and proven in court or otherwise resolved. Topics covered include wire fraud (computer; phone; digital; etc.), tax evasion, money laundering, mail fraud, obstruction of justice, extortion, conspiracy, perjury, and RICO. Students will also develop an understanding of how they and others can avoid falling prey to white collar crimes in the workplace.
