BLAW 520 Legal Considerations for Business Practices 2.0 Credits

This residency course analyzes laws governing business transactions, relationships, and organizations with a focus on ethical issues, legally enforceable contracts, employee/agent rights and duties, the duties, powers, the liabilities of corporate directors and officers, intellectual property law, data privacy and AI. Related areas of the legal environment of business will also be covered. A proper understanding of the legal environment in which businesses operate is fundamental to the executive decision-making process. This course will explore legal topics with an emphasis on hands-on simulations and case analysis. There will also be assigned readings and written assignments to complete both outside of and within class.
