This course will cover advanced topics in biomaterials engineering, including the use of biomaterials in implanted medical devices, drug delivery, tissue engineering, and advanced therapeutics. Students will learn how to design biomaterials for various applications through consideration of their chemical and physical properties, degradation properties, and the biological host response.
