BMES 4412 Musculoskeletal Injury, Clinical Assessment, and Intervention 3.0 Credits
This course is intended to provide students with an introduction to several aspects of musculoskeletal biomechanics including injury, assessment and treatment. This course will provide a comprehensive overview critical for understanding orthopedic conditions as well as automotive safety with a focus on injury tolerance and biomechanics, clinical assessment and intervention, occupant protection, testing and federal regulation. Additionally, hands-on labs and workshop sessions will be integrated in this course and will focus on developing modeling tools using finite element modeling software for orthopedic applications.
