BMES 4632 Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Foundations in Biomedical Applications 3.0 Credits
This course provides practical training in machine learning and data modeling for biomedical applications. Students learn core methods including dimensionality reduction, classification, clustering, neural networks, deep learning, feature selection, and large language models, with emphasis on data exploration, model design, and interpretation. Through hands‑on programming and project‑based work, students develop and evaluate models using real biomedical datasets.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: BMES 1610 [Min Grade: D] and MATH 2901 [Min Grade: D]
