BMES 5091 Biomedical Graduate Foundations I 3.0 Credits

This course is part of an experiential professional development to prepare graduate students for their leadership careers in biomedical engineering and science, health care and therapeutics with an emphasis on strategic design and responsible conduct. Students explore real-world problems, engage with various stakeholders, identify a design project or research scope, while taking regulatory and ethical learning modules. Students will learn from and interact with professionals like seminar speakers. Students then propose a solution and defend the progress of their design or research projects in multiple formats to diverse audiences.
