BMES 5632 ML-AI Foundations in Biomedical Applications 3.0 Credits
This course provides practical training in machine learning and data modeling for biomedical applications. Students learn core methods including dimensionality reduction, classification, clustering, neural networks, deep learning, feature selection, and large language models, with emphasis on data exploration, model design, and interpretation. Through hands‑on programming and project‑based work, students develop and evaluate models using real biomedical datasets. Students also engage in review and presentation of cutting‑edge research, allowing them to evaluate emerging methodologies and understand their relevance to current biomedical challenges.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
