BST 5014 Statistical Methods III: Longitudinal and Correlated Data 3.0 Credits
This course covers modern statistical techniques for correlated data arising from: longitudinal studies (outcome measured repeatedly over time); multilevel designs (outcome observed on multiple units nested in a cluster); multiple outcome studies (two or more outcomes observed within a unit modeled simultaneously). Discussed from an applied perspective, topics include the importance of correlated data studies, exploratory data analysis tools, linear and generalized linear mixed effects models, marginal models and generalized estimating equations, latent variable models, model diagnostics, handling missing data, and power and sample size calculations. Analysis of real data sets using statistical software, including continuous, binary and count data, will be integrated throughout.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
