CATX 5528 Systems, Community Practices and Families 3.0 Credits
This course explores systems and family systems theories as they relate to community, ethical, and culturally responsive counseling practices. Students examine intersectional identities, lived experiences, and culture-bound values in assessment, documentation, and engagement with individuals, families, and caregivers across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on client-centered, intercultural, and ethical approaches reinforced through experiential practice.
