CATX 6648 Contemporary Practices in Art Therapy 2.0 Credits
This course explores current and emerging practices in art therapy across clinical, community, and interdisciplinary settings. Students examine contemporary theoretical frameworks, evidence-informed approaches, and evolving applications with individuals, groups, families, and communities. Emphasis is placed on culturally responsive, ethically grounded, and systems informed practice, including attention to social justice, intersectional identities, and professional standards. Through engagement with current literature and case material, students integrate contemporary practices to support effective and adaptable art therapy work.
