Covers structure, preparation, reactivity, and stereochemistry of organic compounds, especially aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, carboxylic acid halides, anhydrides, amides, polypeptides, esters, amines, phenols, and carbohydrates. IR, MS, and NMR spectral techniques are introduced and applied to the identification of organic compounds.
